The best way to ship is almost always via the US Postal Service, Priority Mail, using their Flat Rate Boxes.
Priority Mail gives us fast, inexpensive service (very important) with delivery confirmation (also very important). We can ship up to 70 lbs. in a Flat Rate Box, although the practical
limit is around 50 to 55 lbs.
Flat Rate Boxes and Flat Rate Envelopes are a
good deal for small but heavy items. We often reinforce the bottom of
the box with a piece of cardboard or thin plywood, so the box doesn't
self-destruct so easily in transit.
Yes, the cost for Priority Mail Flat Rate packages has gone up. See the schedule below.
We also offer Priority Mail Express service for time-critical deliveries. It's an option during check-out.
As of January 23, 2018, Priority Mail rates are increasing slightly. We have adjusted our shipping charges accordingly in the table below.
We no longer offer to use UPS for shipping; not UPS Ground, nor UPS Expedited. We have been thoroughly disappointed by the last 6 shipments, and all our customers involved have been very unhappy. PLAN AHEAD; order with adequate time for regular shipping.
Our current Priority Mail Shipping Cost schedule is as follows:
| From:||To:||Shipping & Handling Cost:||Nominal Packaging Represented:|

International Shipping is also via Priority Mail, is automatically adjusted for your International destination, and is calculated by a different schedule. Shipping overcharges (we intentionally err on the side of caution) are refunded at the time we print shipping/customs labels.
