Remember Slotted Head Machine Screws?
Use them to assemble railing sections, fence panels, large light fixtures, or ....??
They're great when you have to have fasteners, but don't want large, projecting heads. Use the Oval Heads when you want them slightly decorative; use the Flat Heads when you want them to almost disappear from view. From our own experience, we think the 3/8" sizes to be most useful , so we'll start by stocking them. If you need other sizes, let us know about it.
Traditionally, Machine Screws are full thread (F.T.), and Stove Bolts have about half the shank threaded; otherwise, they are the same item. We have noted the thread length (T.L.) below. All items on this page have Plain finish, and have Slotted Drive.

What was the other difference between Machine Screws and Stove Bolts? Stove Bolts used to come with nuts, and Machine Screws came without nuts. They both used machine screw nuts, which are flat (regular nuts have rounded shoulders), and not as thick as regular nuts. Of course, they're square! And, you can buy them here, too!
